Tbilisi Medical Academy

Tbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by notable Georgian physician and pediatric surgeon Petre Shotadze. From its humble beginnings in 1992, more than 31 years TMA is one of the pioneers of medical education in Georgia and remains to be one of the most competitive and dynamically developing institutions.

TMA, as a student-oriented higher education institution, primarily seeks to teach and develop national and international healthcare professionals in an innovative manner by using evidence-based knowledge, whilst practically benefiting the community in Georgia through research-based outreach activities.
